The Lone Star State
Uniquely, much of the Capitol is underground. Most senator and representative offices are not in the main building. They are under the greenbelt area just north of the Capitol. There are skylights providing natural light to all the offices. Super cool design.
Thanks for the reminder. We'll head there next.

We had a great tour that lasted almost an hour. And when our guide stopped, it was because of time, not because she had finished showing us and telling us about everything!

We checked out the cornerstone then headed to the visitor center.
This was the land office and built to be a stately building and safe storage for land papers, but now it is enjoyed as the visitor center.Emigrants
