Atchafalaya & Texas! - 3/5

We spent the morning learning all about the swamp area of Louisiana known as Atchafalya. The map below shows all of the sugarcane plantations, which were so long and skinny so each had access to the mighty Mississippi. (The photo is funny because I used the panoramic option to get it all.)

Then we entered Texas and were surprised to find that the swamp area extended into the Lone Star state as well.

It was a pretty relaxing day.
