We packed up the trailer this morning and headed out. We stopped at the ranger station to finish up junior ranger duties begun our first day here.
On the way, we searched out a dump station that we found on sanidumps.com. It's kinda like gasbuddy for rv dumps.
As we were driving down there road, suddenly we heard metal dragging so we quickly stopped to find one of the bars connecting to our hitch and trailer had come off. We spent a bit of time walking another 1/2 mile or so looking for the missing pin tray was supposed to hold it in. Since we did not find it, we had to make a stop at "the mercantile" where "Delilah can surely find just the right thing for us in some corner of her store." And we left with a bolt that will suffice until better arrangements are made.
We found a dump station at a rest stop along the way, then continued down the 5 toward Portland.
We are finding that living this way sometimes requires much patience as you have little things that happen and can take quite a bit of time to deal with. Thankfully, we are enjoying those moments and embracing the opportunity to move more slowly.
On this down day, for several hours 3 kids climbed these trees picking cherries while 3 of us played frisbee golf.

Pleasant times!
