More goodbyes. We're going to get good at this despite it being sad every time. We have to be continually thankful for the opportunity to see friends and family, however short the time.
Grandma blessed us with another hot breakfast to prepare us for the day ahead. The Heilsbergs took a break from their jobs to see us off. The kids had the hardest time leaving their cousin Bradyn behind - they tried to bring him along as a stowaway!
Found you! - time to leave, but where's sy? We had such a great time with the Heilsbergs.
We drove out first hours through beautiful farmland, then rocky soil, and then more farmland.
Fun little towns dotted the landscape and were fun to stop and see. Most have shrunk significantly in recent years.
Vantage Boat Launch - the perfect picnic spot for lunch
Ginkgo Petrified Forest
Next we drove through a forest and snowqualimie pass and into Seattle.
We are camped a bit south of Seattle for the next 2 nights. We plan to go into Seattle all day tomorrow and perhaps to Olympia the next morning.
