Bismarck,ND - Capitol #8

After the old dome-type building burned in 1933, North Dakota built 1 of 4 (in the U.S.) skyscraperesque capitols.

Our tour guide Marlan was super informative and we had him all to ourselves.

From the observation deck on the 18th floor.
Looking back across the river to our campground last night at the fort.
Our car is that long white thing. Great view.

Unique things you can do with a skyscraper Capitol

Next we walked across the parking lot to the brand new North Dakota Heritage Center. It was so well done. Loved it! Only had 30 minutes and needed a day to see it all. Barely skimmed the surface. ):

Oh. And while we toured today, our laundry was being done across the street. I just had to excuse myself for a moment to switch it. Then we picked it up as we left.

And headed to the Black Hills of South Dakota.
Goodnight from Faith, South Dakota.
(And early because we just switched back to mountain time zone).
