Ford's Theatre & Arlington

It is such a privilege to be in Washington, DC and experience so much history first hand.
We were able to visit Ford's Theatre where President Lincoln was shot and the Peterson home across the street where he died the next day.

John Wilkes Booth and the gun

In the four-story mass of books written about Lincoln, the kids found one we have at home.
Our next stop was Arlington National Cemetery.

We witnessed the 5pm changing of the guard.
There is so much more we could do and see in DC, but this will have to conclude our trip for now.
