Air & Space Smithsonian (and more)

This was such a fun museum. They had hosts everywhere to help visitors learn about different scientific aspects of flight. 




My favorite exhibit was this one on time and navigation, connecting accurate time telling to finding one's position on the earth. Really cool!


Another day, another opportunity to use one's freedom of speech.
I joined this march for about one minute, just long enough to ask the people what they were marching for. These people are expressing their dissatisfaction with the pipeline in North Dakota.
Questions answered, we moved on to the national portrait Gallery.
The picture below is about the quote, not the art. If You Can Keep It is the title of a book I just finished reading at the recommendation of Mr. Schultz our host in Massachusetts. Fabulous read about keeping our republic!
And here, our day came full-circle with a portrait of Frederick Douglass.
