Playing in the leaves in front of the capitol. This is the smallest Capitol in the U.S.
The Senate seats 30
The house seats 150 - down from 257, which is the number of towns in Vermont (Imagine! Every town had its own representative at the state house!)
The governor's office
The whole Capitol building was simple and sensible.

Sy found his friends PB&J at an antique store. Kik bought cowboy boots.
We had only a few minutes at the Vermont historical Museum before they closed but I better understand who Ethan Allen was.
At Morse Farm we learned about making maple syrup.
We got to taste test the maple syrup number. #1 is the lightest and is been made from the earliest sap. #4 is the darkest and is been made from the last sap.
#3, "robust", was the winner with our family.we enjoyed maple creamees, aka maple ice cream.
We are so excited that we got to do and see everything that we think of, when we think of Vermont: cheese, covered bridges, maple syrup, and foliage!
