Minute Man NHP, JFK NHS, and Olmsted NHS

We had a busy day seeing our last 3 sights before we head out of the Boston area.
Minute Man National Historic Park stretches from Lexington to Concord, the areas where Boston sent munitions to be stored in the days before the Revolutionary War would begin when the "shot heard round the world" was fired right here!

Bridge where the colonists met the red coats near Concord

Louisa May Alcott, Nathanial Hawthorne, and Margaret Sidney all lived here.

walking where they walked
and next... to the JFK Birthplace

JFK was born here in Brookline, MA
final stop... Olmstead Landscape Architectural home and offices
learning about the landscape architectural design process
their first "copies" were blue prints made like we've made sun prints in science
there are an amazing amount of drawings here
