Boston, MA - Capitol #20


After we got through the anti-gun rally going on outside, we were able to get this picture.
The capitol, or as they call them over here the Statehouse, is the second stop on the Freedom Trail after the Boston Common.
Our tour guide Ruth was passionate and full of great information. I think she could've talk to us for more than the hour we were there, but by the end, the tour group behind was having to wait for us to get out of each room.


They are Stainglass has the seals of the original 13 colonies, with Massachusetts' in the middle.

The whole of flags contains a flag in each city in Massachusetts. They are in the order that they became recognized cities.


The statue of Roger Wolcott has the same hands as the Lincoln Memorial in because the artist didn't want to create new molds.
The house was large and beautiful and had her original desks.
The original Senate room is no longer big enough, so the Senate has moved to the room across the hall (below) and uses this as a parlor-ish room.
