The Arch & a bit of car trouble

We were so excited to go up in the arch.
They have a system of enclosed pods to take you up and they resemble a ferris wheel. You get in on these steps.
It's pretty tight inside.

The view from the top was great.
To the west, we could see the domed courthouse we visited yesterday and the field where the Dodgers would play the cardinals tonight.
To the east, we could see the famous Eads bridge and the mighty Mississippi.
On our return tram ride, Ky and I sat with some 15-year-old students from Romania who had won a science competition and were flown here for a conference. It was fun to chat with them about their project (about living in space colonies) and their exciting trip.
When we got back to our car, it wouldn't start. Thankfully, another family was hopping in their car to leave just then and they gave us a jump. But since the car has had trouble starting for about a week now, we decided it was definitely time for a new battery. So before we could head to the zoo, we headed to sam's club to buy one.
This was our third major purchase for the car of the trip. The spark plug repair, new tires, and now a new battery. Not bad for the 38,000 miles we've driven this year!
