Independence, Missouri - 6/1

It's our TRAILERversary!
From Jefferson City to Independence
Kik fishing in the Missouri River

So much history in Independence.
We had lunch at this park where the Santa Fe trail passed through.
We toured President Truman's home.
(No photos allowed inside - at Mrs Truman's request when she bequeathed  the house.) Our guide cheerfully offered to take our photo outside. (:
Across the street, we were able to go inside the Noland home.
It belonged to President Truman's cousins and is set up like a small museum for the Trumans.
The courthouse in the middle of town has a statue of President Truman out front and a store called "Wild About Harry" across the street.
and the Oregon Trail begin here!
