Olympia - Capitol #3

There was a time I was disappointed when we visited a state Capitol building to find a (anti)drug campaign dominating the main lobby. Oh wait... That was just a few days ago in Montana. Well, Washington has them beat. Here's our family photo on the steps of the Capitol. If you look closely, you can see us just above the big rainbow flag (reminding us of God's promise in Genesis, of course).
We started our morning with banana slugs.
I found my way back using this app when I came to a fork in the trail. (Scott was still at our campsite.)
Our "backyard" the last few days. Kids played soccer here.
Not-yet-ripe blackberries.
We packed up and drive to the Capitol.

So much beautiful marble! The main area has walls and floors in this gray and white from Alaska.
Then their other rooms have marble from France (house), Germany (senate), and Italy (reception).
Gorgeous!
