Mount St Helens

We started the day at the Mount St Helens visitor center.
We continued on to visit Scott's cousin David and some of his family before they were heading out of town. We're leaving the trailer here for the night to stay with David's parents, Scott's Uncle Gaius and Aunt Marilyn. They live up on a hill that is not trailer friendly. (:
It was nice to catch up with David's wife and sons. We'd not seen them since we were last here in 2009.
The kids loved the office/trophy room from hunts in Africa.

After unhitching, we headed up to Scotts aunt and uncle's house.
The kids spent the evening watching westerns with the guys.
Aunt Marilyn and I cooked a yummy dinner! Last time we were here I acquired a pie crust recipe that is amazing. This time I get a whole dinner recipe! Thanks Aunt Marilyn!
Ahh... City lights views from the deck. Good night!

  1. I forgot to mention how cool it was to have visited the Mount St. Helens visitor center in the morning and then hear first hand stories about it that night. Aunt Marilyn shared how they were living in town at the base of the mountain and had been doing logging there and watched their logging equipment go by in the landslide of logs shown on television. Talk about bringing history to life!
