we visited the UA Flandrau science center/mineral museum.

Before resuming the drive, we ran the steps in the UA stadium. (you can see the guys in the middle blue (sky) square)
entering New Mexico 
we'd never had long john silvers, but we'd listened to treasure island last month and it seemed like a good idea to stop there.
finally, we arrived in Texas.
