some down time

we have been in Georgia for a few days now. after arriving friday, getting a tree saturday, and going to church service on Sunday, we've spent a couple days relaxing. this has been more out of necessity than desire, but was truly enjoyed by all regardless. i started coughing in Phoenix and have now shared that cold with jojo & sy. most recently, scott has been affected and slept most of the last couple days.

today we had the opportunity to visit Operation Mobilization (OM), where scott's parents are currently working. this past september, he drove the moving truck for them from phoenix to the atlanta area. they have moved here to work with OM and as OM does not have paid positions, they must raise support as missionaries. OM is the same organization that i went to North Africa with in college. Visiting their US office was fun for all of us. The kids were able to see where grandma & grandpa are working and explore the grounds - which include forests, a lake, horses, etc. While grandma took them exploring, Scott & i had the opportunity to sit down with another man and chat about missions and OM's role in the missions world - where they work and what they do. After that, Scott talked IT with some of the IT staff who make managing communications with missionaries all over the world and on their ships possible. It was fun to be surrounded by people all willing to be used by God in any way he pleases, to do His will, grow His kingdom and bring glory to Him.
