"caroling" to the neighbors

last year we went door-to-door reciting luke 2 to our neighbors and handing out cookies. it was a long passage which made it a little uncomfortable. memorization did not impress and we realize that music would really lighten the mood.

this year, we decided to utilize our tin whistles to play music for the neighbors. (we've been learning to play for the past 6 weeks at CC.) no matter how slow it goes or how many mistakes each child made, it didn't matter. the neighbors enjoyed hearing their song and complimented them on their playing.

ky played jingle bells (the easiest christmas song to play) and the boys played away in a manger. kik was able to play from memory and really impressed everyone! this year's presentation was more enjoyable for all. :)
