160 miles - an easy day
We had a nice breakfast in Abilene of Texas-shaped waffles - only in Texas!

(ky: "mom, i can't finish my texas.", mom: "that's cuz texas is so big!")
Then we made the short drive to Fort Worth to meet my Uncle Bobby for lunch.

This was he first time Scott and the kids had met him. He treated us to a yummy Tex-Mex lunch and we spent some time catching up. It was a great time and we are so glad we got to see him.

Next we were off to our daily fun and educational experience at the Fort Worth Muse of Science and History.

This museum has a fantastic ancient Egypt exhibit,

a cow boy museum,

a water play area,

a light-play area,

a couple dinosaur exhibits

and a green energy and drilling exhibit. There is plenty to see and do and as usual we could have spent all day, but we only had 2 1/2 hours.

Our next stop was the Neimeyer's home, also in Fort Worth.

Heath's & Scott's families have been friends for ages and he has 4 little ones, too, so it was perfect to stop by for a visit - and they were so gracious to host us
last minute!

(really I believe that us families with 4+ kids just live in managed chaos at all times so we can take in a spare 4+ kids at a moments notice.) We were all so blessed by their family - the kids all made a
fort worth sleeping in. And us adults had a pleasant evening of fellowship. Praise the Lord for our family of believers!
We were so blessed by your family as well! It was so great to meet you guys. I hope we can connect via email after you're settled back home. I've got a few curriculum questions for ya. :) ~Gina
