Our homecoming date was determined by orthodontist and dentist appointments. We saw these doctors on 6/29,6/30, 7/6, 7/7, 7/8, 7/11, and 7/14!!!
Each appointment included more than one member of the family and a couple included 3 kids! Wow!
In the end, all of us had our teeth cleaned, Jo had 3 teeth extracted, Kik got his braces on,
Ky got 1 filling, and Sy got his front teeth fixed (Thank you Dr Alley!) and got an expander and headgear!
("Oh! Like Darla!" He says, referring to Finding Nemo, when he first sees himself on the mirror.)
And our little miracle:
On the way home from the first ortho visit for the 3 boys, we stopped at my favorite carwash. The car had only been cleaned by rain on our trip. Since Ky was going to see Dr Sparks the following week, I didn't mention that she'd lost her brand new retainer (that they rushed to create before we left) in Utah during first week of our trip. But praise the Lord, when vacuuming out the car, we found the retainer! AND Dr Sparks says we may get away with not doing a second phase for Ky if she's faithful with the retainer. So excited for the $avings!
