Reflections - moving out of our apartment

While we were on the road, we decided to submit our 30-day notice to vacate our apartment. This meant we would be out of our stick home by 7/7 and (in theory) drive away from the OC to embark on a year-long exploration of the US.
Our first day back, the orthodontist requested Sy to come for 3 appointments 1 week apart to begin after his teeth were fixed by the dentist. We were able to cut down the time frame to 2 weeks, but that still meant we could not leave town til after his appointment on the 14th.
Our apartment manager graciously allowed us to change our move out date to 7/15. And we enrolled our children in Seahorse Soccer Camp 7/11-7/15 so we could work on moving while the kids were playing soccer all day.
Scott also found that he had much work to do for clients while we were home and much of the packing was completed by me between dentist appointments and by Scott in the evenings after working.
We are SO thankful to our friends and neighbors Mohammad and the Clark,
Schultz, and Chew families for helping us pack and carry boxes and furniture down from the 3rd floor and to my dad's house!
Our manager and maintenance man after our walk-thru.
I think they're smiling because they found a way to keep my deposit. ;)  /:
Haha. Actually, I think they were caught completely off guard when I asked them to take the photo! Goodbye Art and Santiago. Our first apartment experience as a family was generally pleasant because of these guys.
