After a good nights sleep, we woke up late to watch the inauguration.
Inspired by our new president, Ky and Sy decided to wash the cars.
We finished off our relaxing day with card games.
The evening brought really loud thunderstorms and lots of water rushing through the neighborhood.
Saturday, we decided a fun way to spend a rainy day would be touring a museum.
The Carlos Museum at Emory University has displays of ancient American civilizations, Ancient Greece and Rome, and Ancient Egypt.
Sy really enjoyed the early American pottery.
Ky's favorite was the mummies. And Kik enjoyed the snake mummy.
On Sunday, we enjoyed fellowship at Grace Evangelical Church again. After attending since early December, we now know some people and can chat on our way in and out. After church, the Thomases invited us to their home for lunch.
We enjoyed their vegan cooking. The warm soup was particularly enjoyable on this dark day under tornado watch. After the main meal, they served a Keylime pie that was mainly made of avocado. It was tasty and you wouldn't have guessed that it was made with avocados.
On Monday, some school work was accomplished. Then, while Scott and I went to pick up the trailer, the kids went golf carting with grandma and grandpa.
Grandpa reported that Ky took seriously the fact that when she drove she was responsible for the 6 lives in the vehicle. In contrast, the boys will rightly be charged more for car insurance when they come of age. (: They all had loads of fun.
